DevOps Engineer

Job summary

DevOps Engineer responsible for deploying, automating, operating, and sustaining a PostgreSQL-based platform in a secure enterprise environment. The role spans initial engineering implementation and long-term operational support, including Kubernetes platform environments, Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and GitOps pipelines, production monitoring, incident response, and platform optimisation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with virtualisation and containerised environments.
• Experience with GitOps principles and tooling.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or equivalent technologies.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure and deployment automation.
• Experience supporting secure, highly available production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident response capabilities.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• PostgreSQL or enterprise database platform experience preferred.
• Experience in secure government or National Security environments preferred.
• Experience supporting platforms from implementation through operational sustainment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain secure platform environments.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD and GitOps deployment pipelines.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent technologies.
• Create automation frameworks for platform deployment and operations.
• Support Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Provision and configure environments and support monitoring.
• Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and optimise platforms.
• Support highly available PostgreSQL platforms through implementation and sustainment.
• Maintain operational and technical documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and long-term platform sustainment.
