THE WORK: The GG DevOps SWE is in an extremely customer facing role leading multi faceted mission critical system development, deployment and evolution. The successful candidate will be focusing on the development, deployment, and administration of complex systems using C++ or Python, Kubernetes, and GPU technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our satellite communication systems, from development to deployment, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets user requirements. The following are the primary functions of the position: DevOps Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines for C++ or Python applications, utilizing Kubernetes/K8 deployment and administration, Helm chart creation, and pod definition. Kubernetes Administration: Manage and configure Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. Debugging and Defect Correction: Identify, debug, and correct defects in existing software, utilizing effective troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues efficiently. GPU Configuration and Support: Configure and optimize GPU resources for performance-critical applications, utilizing CUDA or other relevant technologies. Automated Testing and Deployment: Implement automated testing and deployment scripts, utilizing tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system architects, and project managers, to ensure software meets user requirements and is delivered on schedule. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for software designs, processes, and interfaces to facilitate knowledge sharing and project continuity. • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice. Develops and automates secure systems to support cyber offensive, defense and full spectrum cyber operations.Conducts vulnerability research, reverse engineering, penetration testing (red/blue teams), develops and integrates low-level firmware, and/or develops specialized cyber software solutions and tools based on mission requirements. Applies system knowledge of subject matter (hardware, software, networks, cloud, etc.) to conduct research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities and develop new capabilities to exploit and/or mitigate vulnerabilities. Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20 years or more of professional experience. Considered an expert, authority in discipline. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
