Job summary
The DevOps Engineer develops and maintains cloud infrastructure for web and mobile products serving an international audience, modernizing legacy systems and supporting both EC2-hosted platforms and serverless APIs. The role covers AWS infrastructure design and administration, infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines, testing, monitoring, automation, networking, and tier-1 office support, with participation in an on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a software development environment
- Experience with AWS-hosted environments
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
- Experience with Linux or other Unix-like systems
- Scripting experience; Bash or Python experience is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud-based monitoring tools
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure
- Modernize infrastructure and retire legacy technology and systems
- Manage AWS environments, including EC2-hosted platforms and serverless APIs
- Maintain infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines across applications
- Perform system and database administration, testing, monitoring, and automation
- Provide infrastructure, network, and tier-1 office support
- Set up equipment and accounts for new hires
- Participate in an on-call rotation
