DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for building, operating, and evolving Azure cloud and GenAI platform components in a financial services environment. The role automates infrastructure with Terraform, Helm, and GitLab; improves delivery processes for AI and LLM applications; and develops platform capabilities for routing, security, authorization, guardrails, monitoring, and logging.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience building and operating DevOps and cloud platforms.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, Docker, and Terraform.
• Strong Azure Cloud knowledge, including API Management, AKS, Azure Functions, OpenAI, AI Search, Document Intelligence, AI Foundry, and storage services.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or Azure Monitor.
• Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization concepts, Azure Entra ID, and OAuth.
• Knowledge of Python and/or Java.
• Ideally, experience with generative AI, RAG architectures, or agent-based AI applications.
• Fluent German and very good English.

Responsibilities

• Provision, automate, and manage Azure cloud and AI platform components using Terraform, Helm, and GitLab.
• Develop and optimize build, test, and deployment processes for AI and LLM applications.
• Contribute to technical concepts, architecture decisions, and the ongoing development of an enterprise GenAI platform.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to support platform transparency, availability, and performance.
• Support development teams with integrations, onboarding, and platform operations.
• Develop platform solutions for routing, security checks, authorization, guardrails, logging, and monitoring using Python, Java, C#, and API Management policies.
