Job summary
The DevOps Engineer Tooling builds, manages, and improves a secure, standardized, automated development environment for software development, testing, and deployment. The role owns Azure DevOps Continuous Delivery pipelines and quality gates, automates infrastructure and deployments with Terraform and Ansible, and integrates tools including Git, GitHub, Postman, Webdriver IO, SonarQube, and Mend. It also supports developers and administrators while strengthening service availability, security, stability, and scalability.

Qualifications
- HBO-level education or equivalent, preferably in IT or computer science.
- Extensive experience with development environments and development tooling.
- Knowledge of Azure and Azure DevOps, including Continuous Delivery pipeline configuration and management.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, preferably Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with development, testing, security, and quality tools such as Git, GitHub, Postman, Webdriver IO, SonarQube, and Mend.
- Experience with scripting and automation, such as PowerShell and Python.
- Experience applying DevOps best practices and a strong preference for standardization and automation.
- Ability to understand developers' needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Experience with or interest in Copilot is preferred.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or a comparable regulated sector is preferred.
- Good written and spoken Dutch and English.
- Resident in the Netherlands.
- Proactive, analytical, communicative, and collaborative, with ownership of solutions and improvements.
- Able to learn new technologies quickly, work independently, and prioritize in a changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and manage development-environment tooling.
- Configure and manage Azure DevOps Continuous Delivery pipelines and quality gates.
- Automate infrastructure and deployments using Terraform and Ansible.
- Manage and integrate development tools, including Git, GitHub, Postman, Webdriver IO, SonarQube, and Mend.
- Support automation and scripting with PowerShell and Python.
- Help developers and administrators use available tools effectively and share knowledge.
- Gather user needs and translate them into technical solutions and improvements.
- Assess new developments in Azure, Infrastructure as Code, and development, quality, security, and testing tools.
- Support service availability, continuity, security, manageability, and scalability.
