DevOps Engineer

Job summary

The DevOps Engineer enables reliable communication and compatibility between independently developed microservices by establishing contract testing practices with development teams. The role integrates automated contract verification into CI/CD pipelines, provisions cloud infrastructure with AWS CDK and Terraform, and promotes trunk-based development; it also applies microservices architecture principles and may use Domain-Driven Design to support service boundaries.

Qualifications

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and service-to-service communication.
• Hands-on contract testing experience with microservices or API-driven applications.
• Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure with AWS CDK and Terraform.
• Practical experience with trunk-based development, continuous integration, and automated delivery.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of REST APIs, API contracts, backward compatibility, and service versioning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with application development teams to implement contract testing across microservices.
