DevOps Engineer (w/m/d)

Job summary

The DevOps Engineer supports two teams in building and operating delivery processes for the real-time processing and provision of bank transaction data. The role develops CI/CD pipelines, automates platform and operational processes, and monitors microservice stability and availability while promoting security and continuous improvement. The technology environment includes GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, Splunk, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• Higher degree in computer science from a university of applied sciences or university, or equivalent professional experience
• Several years of DevOps experience, including building and operating CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and Git
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architecture
• Understanding of GitOps principles and experience applying them with ArgoCD
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Kustomize, Helm, or Terraform, and with declarative deployment strategies
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability solutions such as Splunk and Grafana
• DevSecOps knowledge and experience with SonarQube and automated security and quality checks are an advantage
• Java application development experience is an advantage
• Analytical, solution-oriented approach and interest in modern technologies and continuous development

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines to support stable, efficient, and traceable deployments
• Support two teams with automation, platform topics, and operational processes
• Monitor microservice stability and availability and identify opportunities for improvement
• Promote DevOps practices, continuous improvement, security, and quality across delivery processes
• Strengthen collaboration between development and operations
