Job summary
Welldoc is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Ops/IT team. This role involves deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations to meet customer needs. The engineer will work closely with the development team to build and maintain infrastructure solutions, primarily within Azure.
Qualifications
- Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
- Strong understanding of Azure concepts: compute, storage, networking, IAM, policies, resource groups
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Powershell
- Good knowledge of MS SQL Server and in writing SQL Queries and procedures
- Experience in using version control tools like Azure DevRepo
- Experience with CI/CD systems
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs is a plus
- Understanding of cloud security architecture, identity and access management, and network security principles
- Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- 3+ years relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
Responsibilities
- Deploy and support cloud infrastructure solutions in Azure
- Deploy product updates
- Identify production issues
- Implement integrations to meet customer needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Networking, Security, DevOps, and Application Development
- Assist in building and maintaining development, testing, and production environments
- Monitor, manage, and optimize Azure cloud resources
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, network, and application performance
- Support automation of operational tasks using scripting (PowerShell/Python)
- Assist with incident resolution, root cause analysis, and performance troubleshooting for cloud workloads
- Build and operate comprehensive CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Write deployment, configuration, provisioning, monitoring, and other scripts
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
