DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer - Firmware Validation (f/m/d)

Job summary

Build and operate the CI/CD platform, infrastructure, and tooling used to validate Mixed-Signal IP firmware, from static analysis and unit tests through simulation and hardware-in-the-loop silicon testing. The role includes managing self-hosted runners and toolchains, onboarding silicon platforms, automating validation labs, and developing firmware tests and cross-stack triage tools in collaboration with firmware and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline and extensive relevant experience.
• Experience designing and owning CI/CD pipelines and shared engineering infrastructure.
• Strong Python skills for CLI tooling, orchestration, and integrations with APIs, webhooks, and service accounts.
• Hands-on experience operating self-hosted CI/CD systems, administering runners, orchestrating jobs, and debugging infrastructure failures.
• Proficiency with Git and integrating build, test, and reporting services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with hardware and firmware development, SoC bring-up, or silicon testing.
• Comfort working hands-on in a hardware lab and maintaining boards and test stations.

Responsibilities

• Own and extend CI/CD pipelines from static analysis through hardware-in-the-loop silicon testing.
• Operate and harden self-hosted runners, toolchains, and platform packaging and release flows.
• Onboard silicon platforms by extending configurations, build and test matrices, and hardware integrations.
• Automate and maintain validation lab test stations.
• Triage and identify root causes across firmware toolchains, simulators, runner systems, and silicon tests.
• Develop firmware test cases and tooling for development boards and shipping products.
• Set up and maintain test-station hardware in collaboration with firmware and QA teams.
