DevOps & Kubernetes Engineer (m/w/d)

Job summary

Support the team in building and operating the On-Premises Kubernetes platform, focusing on automation and standardization of applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification, or relevant experience in DevOps/Platform environment
• Experience with Kubernetes (preferably On-Prem)
• Practical experience with GitOps approaches, especially ArgoCD
• Proficient in Helm charts (creation, versioning, templating)
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, OCI) and Harbor or similar registries
• Good knowledge of Git and experience with Gitea or similar platforms
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and automation
• Strong understanding of developer experience and supporting Vibe Coder
• High quality standards for code, configuration, and documentation
• Independent, structured work style and strong team communication skills
• Good German and English language skills

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop On-Prem Kubernetes clusters
• Build, maintain, and optimize GitOps workflows with ArgoCD
• Create, maintain, and standardize Helm charts for applications
• Manage and maintain container registry with Harbor
• Administer and use Gitea as central Git platform
• Support Vibe Coded applications through automation and standardization
• Develop reusable Helm chart templates and standard manifests
• Implement automated checks for Kubernetes manifests and Git conventions
• Establish and maintain coding guidelines and folder structures
• Create starter repositories for typical services
• Automate recurring tasks to relieve development teams
• Build self-service mechanisms for secure deployments
• Establish monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes workloads
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance developer experience
• Document architecture, processes, and standards
