DevOps/Operations Engineer (all genders) – Risk & Fraud

Job summary

As a DevOps & Operations Engineer, you will ensure that development and operating environments are secure, scalable, and highly available, focusing on stability, security, monitoring, and operational excellence. You will build and operate modern CI/CD platforms, maintain system reliability, and continuously optimize them, contributing to a transformation process that emphasizes automation and AI tools.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in building, operating, and automating Linux-based systems and platforms, ideally with Ansible, GitLab, Artifactory, and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience in comparable activities (e.g., System Administrator, Platform Engineer, Operations Engineer, or IT Specialist with a focus on operations and automation) is an advantage.
• Experience operating hybrid environments with on-premises and cloud services.
• Independent and proactive work style: actively contribute to the team, take on topics and projects, and shape ongoing operations.
• High reliability and strong sense of responsibility for production-critical environments, along with the necessary flexibility to ensure application operation.
• Openness and curiosity for the use of AI tools in daily work and willingness to actively use and develop them.
• Fluent German language skills (at least C2).
• Good English language skills (at least B2).

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to ensure stable and secure operation of SaaS services.
• Install, configure, and administer services and development environments in a CI/CD context, including monitoring, logging, backup/disaster recovery, security hardening, and capacity planning.
• Perform continuous maintenance and optimization of the platform, analyze disruptions, conduct root-cause analyses, and initiate sustainable improvement measures.
• Develop services and improve user experience by automating operational processes and making the platform more efficient, following the DevX principle.
• Actively participate in the transformation process, be open to new technologies, and support the use of AI tools.
