DevOps / Release Support Engineer

Job summary

The DevOps / Release Support Engineer supports a major data centre migration, maintaining environment stability and release readiness across development, infrastructure, integration, and testing. The role builds and monitors DEV, UAT-B, and IND environments; investigates and remediates defects; prepares cutovers and deployments; and patches Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems and applications. It also supports testing, production readiness, and operational handover for high-availability enterprise banking systems.

• Experience building, configuring, and supporting DEV, UAT, and IND test environments.
• Experience investigating and triaging application, infrastructure, and integration defects.
• Hands-on experience with RHEL and application patching.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation, deployment workflows, and configuration management tools.
• Understanding of release management for high-availability, mission-critical systems.
• Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and monitor DEV, UAT-B, and IND environments.
• Support production readiness, cutover planning, and deployment preparation.
• Coordinate and remediate testing defects across project workstreams.
• Triage and support defect resolution during Target State, Penetration, and Transient State testing.
• Patch RHEL operating systems and applications.
• Identify and resolve technical blockers under tight delivery schedules.
• Update operational support documentation for handover to business-as-usual operations.
