Job summary
The Helmholtz-Zentrum für Umweltforschung UFZ is seeking a DevOps Research Software Engineer to support the development and operation of research software-related cloud services.
Qualifications
- Experience in designing and operating modern, scalable IT architectures
- Experience in sustainable software development and project management
- Proficient in at least one programming language
- Strong affinity for interdisciplinary collaboration and technical consulting
- Excellent communication skills and passion for knowledge sharing
- Very good German and English language skills
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate research software-related cloud services
- Support researchers in integrating and using HIFIS services in scientific workflows
- Evaluate and implement new technologies for the research software lifecycle
- Represent the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research within HIFIS
- Enhance support, visibility, and development of HIFIS services
