DevOps - Software Engineer III

Job summary

As a Software Engineer III at JPM***, you will be part of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering technology products while executing software solutions and maintaining high-quality production code.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development tools
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Understanding of agile methodologies
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, Java and/or Python, and UNIX/Bash scripting
• Experience with CI/CD tooling
• Experience using IDEs and development tools

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Create secure and high-quality production code
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large data sets
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data
• Develop automation, scripts, and operational tooling using Java, Python, and UNIX/Bash
• Administer and troubleshoot Tomcat/Apache stacks
• Improve monitoring, alerting, observability, and logging
• Support workload scheduling and batch operations
