Job summary
Manulife is seeking a collaborative DevOps Specialist to enhance DevOps practices and drive operational excellence through automation and cloud technologies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with CI/CD release pipelines.
- Hands-on with TeamCity and pipeline-as-code.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps.
- Familiarity with GitHub and version management.
- Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably in Azure.
- Administering Linux, Unix, and Windows systems.
- Experience in Agile environments.
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with artifact management tools.
- Familiarity with database technologies like SQL Server and Oracle.
- Experience with application security and code quality tools.
- Understanding of programming languages like C#, Java, and Python.
- Commitment to automation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and enhance DevOps practices and tools for efficiency and reliability.
- Automate manual tasks using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Manage and support containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability and security.
- Maintain technical documentation for configurations and processes.
- Promote security best practices in development and operations.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for automation.
- Collaborate with teams for continuous integration and delivery.
