Job summary

The Senior DevOps Specialist will design, implement, and evolve secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities. This role involves collaborating with architecture, product-aligned teams, and software developers to enhance Azure cloud environments, CI/CD practices, observability standards, and infrastructure automation. The specialist will take ownership of key platform initiatives and large-impact infrastructure projects to strengthen operational excellence, resilience, and security.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Significant experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, automation, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud architecture patterns.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, automation workflows, and deployment strategies for complex systems.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation tools.
• Good understanding of networking, cloud security, access control, and platform reliability principles.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools for production systems and cloud environments.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies is a strong asset.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, .NET, or similar technologies.
• Ability to work autonomously, make sound technical decisions, and balance quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex initiatives and deliver meaningful improvements.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
• Own key infrastructure and platform initiatives from design to implementation.
• Lead or contribute to strategic DevOps projects related to cloud architecture, platform modernization, reliability improvement, deployment automation, and infrastructure standardization.
• Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Contribute to the definition and evolution of platform standards, deployment patterns, and DevOps best practices.
• Improve the reliability and operational health of systems by implementing monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and observability solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture and development teams to design infrastructure and platform solutions.
• Review cloud resource usage and contribute to optimization initiatives.
• Support the implementation of secure cloud practices, including identity and access management, networking, secrets management, and environment hardening.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and platform issues, and contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and support other team members by sharing technical knowledge, standards, and DevOps best practices.
• Evaluate tools, technologies, and technical approaches to guide infrastructure and platform evolution.
