Job summary
The Government of Alberta is seeking a Senior DevOps Specialist to support the design and operation of hybrid cloud infrastructure, focusing on OpenShift platform engineering.
Qualifications
- A university degree in a related field
- Four years of related experience
- Minimum 5 years operating Red Hat OpenShift
- 5+ years with Azure Red Hat OpenShift or managed Kubernetes platforms
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools
- Working knowledge of container platform networking
- Experience with deployment automation platforms
Responsibilities
- Support lifecycle management of OpenShift clusters
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling
- Contribute to platform reliability through monitoring and incident response
- Support release orchestration and deployment workflows
- Implement security best practices for container platforms
- Contribute to backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with teams to diagnose platform issues
