Job summary
The DevOps Specialist at Wip*** will manage UNIX/Linux environments, deploying business and infrastructure software for monthly releases while minimizing environmental defects.
Qualifications
- Strong Unix background
- at least 5 years’ experience in the field
- Proven leadership skills and ownership
- Proactive team member with experience in leading and documenting process improvements
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Minimum 4 years of experience with automated toolsets like JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible Tower
- Minimum 5 years of experience with UNIX/Linux Operating System and Infrastructure
- Understanding of Agile Software Delivery methodology
- Ability to troubleshoot enterprise java applications end to end
- Hands-on knowledge of UNIX Shell, Perl, Python, and similar scripting languages
- Continuous Integration Deployment knowledge with Jenkins, Maven/Ant, JFrog Artifactory, Bit Bucket
- Exposure to Docker/OpenShift container technologies
- Good database experience with SQL queries
- Effective communication skills with business and teammates
Responsibilities
- manage environments by minimizing environmental defects

- implement configurations and manual software changes
- support multiple testing environments and releases in parallel
- work one weekend shift a month to support release efforts
- participate in the weekly on-call rotation
