Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a DevOps Systems Engineer to support programs for the US military and international customers. The role involves developing architecture, refining requirements, and guiding system development and integration while ensuring the delivery of world-class solutions.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with DevOps pipelines operating in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Practical experience with Ansible/YAML
  • Experience with writing and maintaining scripting
  • Experience working on or with networked environments
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. Government (DoD) Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an active U.S. Government (DoD) Top Secret Clearance with SCI caveat

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation while collaborating with the customer
  • Define lab activities including setup, configuration management, and testing
  • Define Modeling, Hardware, and Software Interfaces
  • Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals
  • Manage the preparation and/or execution of Design Reviews as well as Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification Testing
  • Work with little oversight to solve difficult and complex problems
  • Analyze system behaviors, supporting system trade studies, requirements analysis, allocation to subsystems
