Qualifications
- Understanding of software engineering practices and application security risks
- Experience with cloud-native applications using Python, JavaScript, or PHP
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and software delivery workflows
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and cloud automation
- Experience with containerised applications and platform technologies
- Understanding of secure authentication and access control
- Experience with monitoring and observability practices
- Ability to investigate and remediate security issues
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Embed security into the software delivery lifecycle across AWS environments
- Guide secure development of cloud-native applications, APIs, and backend services
- Provide guidance on secure application design and cloud architectures
- Integrate security and automation controls into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and cloud automation
- Drive adoption of engineering guardrails and reusable security patterns
- Identify and remediate application and platform vulnerabilities
