Job summary

DevSecOps Engineer position in Berlin for a fixed term of 18 months, focusing on automation, security monitoring, and integrating security practices into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science or comparable field, or IT technical training with relevant professional experience
• Experience in SRE or DevSecOps roles
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and practical experience with Terraform
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, including OWASP security standards
• Experience in hardening and securely operating backend systems for mobile frontends
• Ability to understand, assess, and mitigate security risks
• Fluent in German and/or English (minimum C1)
• Willingness to be on call (24/7)

Responsibilities

• Participate in SRE standard tasks
• Harden backend systems for mobile frontends
• Investigate security incidents and conduct root cause analyses
• Design processes for operations and security incidents
• Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with backend engineers
• Support operational challenges
• Work closely with the Product Security Team as a Security Champion
