DevSecOps Engineer

Job summary

The DevSecOps Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure cloud infrastructure for the Office of Naval Research's Data & Analytics environment.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, SecOps, or MLOps.
• Five (5) years of experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.
• Experience with FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 security requirements.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with cloud-native security capabilities.
• Experience analyzing security logs and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust principles.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps best practices and cloud security architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, automate, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure.
• Develop, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.
• Implement and manage containerized application environments.
• Configure, monitor, and optimize cloud-native security services.
• Analyze security logs and support incident response activities.
• Support continuous Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance.
• Implement secure API management and access controls.
• Develop automated monitoring and operational dashboards.
• Support deployment of AI/ML platforms and services.
• Collaborate to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and frameworks.
• Support system scalability and operational continuity.
• Document system architectures and operational processes.
