Job summary
Design and implement a next-generation DevSecOps and cloud platform with reusable components to support secure, reliable software delivery. Responsibilities include building end-to-end automation and security controls, maintaining deployment tooling and system baselines, improving production availability, and delivering telemetry and performance metrics. The environment includes Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Azure or AWS, Kafka or JMS, and Envoy or Nginx.

Qualifications
- At least 6 years of delivery experience
- Experience implementing DevSecOps and automation capabilities
- Knowledge of DevSecOps capabilities
- Experience with cloud automation and zero-touch deployments
- Experience developing pipelines for Java, Spring Boot, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of Bash, Python, and RESTful APIs
- Experience creating Ansible and Terraform playbooks
- Experience with DevOps tooling and implementation
- Experience with Docker or similar container technologies
- Knowledge of OpenShift or Kubernetes
- Experience with Azure or AWS
- Experience with Kafka or messaging technologies such as JMS
- Knowledge of software-defined routers such as Envoy or Nginx
- Ability to explain complex problems to non-technical audiences
- Strong communication, technical writing, documentation, and organizational skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Personal accountability for delivering high-quality work
- Platform reliability skills to support 24/7 service availability
- Eligibility to work full-time in Canada
Responsibilities
- Design and develop reusable DevSecOps and cloud components
- Deliver end-to-end automation and security controls
- Deliver group OKRs
- Maintain and update tooling and processes as user and engineering teams scale
- Work with development and product teams to identify bottlenecks and mentor teams on operational ownership
- Improve instrumentation, dashboards, deployment automation, and production service availability
- Implement and maintain system configurations and baselines for secure application development
- Provide high-availability operational support and automated solutions
- Implement telemetry to track performance and success metrics
