The Data DevOps Lead is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of the data platform, driving automation and operational excellence across data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Engineering / DevOps / SRE in cloud environments (preferably GCP)
• Expertise in data pipeline orchestration (Airflow/Composer or equivalent)
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and frameworks
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Understanding of distributed data processing (Spark, BigQuery)
• Experience in automation and cost optimization
• Ownership mindset focused on operational excellence
• Ability to drive standardization across teams
• Proactive in identifying risks and improvement opportunities
• Collaborative leadership in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational stability of data pipelines and platform components
• Lead support team for automated monitoring and resolution of data incidents
• Drive automation of processes to reduce manual intervention
• Standardize tools and workflows for scalability
• Monitor and optimize GCP infrastructure and costs
• Identify inefficiencies in data pipelines
• Implement cost control mechanisms
• Design CI/CD frameworks for data pipelines and workflows
• Ensure version control and automated testing
• Establish data platform standards and practices
• Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve reliability targets
