Job summary
Maple is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering to build a foundation for their engineering team, focusing on developer experience, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of people leadership experience in engineering
- Director-level operating experience
- Track record of treating platform as a product
- Expertise in modern CI/CD and deployment pipelines
- Grounding in observability and incident management
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling
- Change management experience
- Strong written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Own the platform engineering team's mandate end-to-end
- Serve product engineering squads as primary customer
- Drive engineering metrics with VP of Engineering
- Hire, coach, and grow a team of engineers
- Partner across departments to lead change
- Stay hands-on in critical areas
- Translate platform investment into business outcomes
