Job summary
The Sysadmin / Platform Engineer maintains Linux hosts, Kubernetes clusters, and GitLab infrastructure used by development teams. The role covers upgrades, runners, backups, and Prometheus/Grafana monitoring, while enabling deployments of Django, Drupal, and Vue.js projects. It also involves working with Swiss hosting providers and documenting operational knowledge, with attention to security, digital sovereignty, and sustainability.

Qualifications
- Solid Linux administration experience with Debian or Ubuntu.
- Knowledge of DNS, TLS, reverse proxies, and secrets management.
- Production Kubernetes experience, including Helm, ingress, upgrades, and Prometheus/Grafana.
- Experience administering GitLab or a similar platform, including runners, pipelines, upgrades, and backups.
- Ability to deploy Django, Drupal, or Vue.js projects.
- Interest in security, cyber risk, sustainability, digital sovereignty, and open source.
- Fluent English; German or Swiss German is preferred, and French is an asset.
- Knowledge of the Swiss hosting landscape is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Linux hosts, Kubernetes clusters, and GitLab infrastructure.
- Perform cluster and GitLab upgrades and manage runners, backups, monitoring, and alerting.
- Support deployment and operation of Django, Drupal, and Vue.js projects.
- Work with Swiss hosting providers on infrastructure choices related to digital sovereignty and sustainability.
- Document operational knowledge for the team.
