Job summary

The Electrical Design and Automation Engineer role involves developing PLC and automation solutions using Beckhoff TwinCAT for complex machine platforms. Responsibilities include integrating sensors and subsystems, implementing communication interfaces like OPC UA and TCP/IP, and collaborating with engineering teams to support testing and commissioning processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in the development of industrial control and automation systems
• Strong PLC programming skills, ideally with Beckhoff TwinCAT and EtherCAT
• Experience with complex software and automation systems
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as OPC UA and TCP/IP
• Experience with C#/.NET, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, simulation, or virtual commissioning is a plus
• Structured and methodical approach

Responsibilities

• Developing PLC and automation solutions using Beckhoff TwinCAT for complex machine platforms
• Contributing to the design and evolution of the automation and software architecture of EUV systems
• Integrating sensors, actuators, drive systems, and other subsystems
• Implementing communication interfaces such as OPC UA and TCP/IP
• Working closely with systems engineering, electrical engineering, software, and mechanical engineering teams
• Supporting testing, commissioning, and fault analysis
• Developing and improving development, testing, and simulation methods
• Working in agile development teams and taking technical ownership of work packages
