Job summary
This role supports the safe, reliable operation of high- and low-voltage electrical distribution networks, installations, and standby power assets across three research and operational sites. The work includes applying safe systems of work, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, supporting electrical maintenance and upgrades, and maintaining compliance with safety legislation, industry standards, and technical requirements.

Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 and 3 or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394, or 2395 inspection and testing
- City & Guilds 2382, 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations or latest standard
- Experience with electrical distribution systems on large campuses or similar sites
Responsibilities
- Implement safe systems of work for electrical networks and installations
- Support safe and reliable operation of high- and low-voltage distribution networks
- Support management of power infrastructure assets and define system responsibilities
- Review contractor and in-house risk assessments and method statements
- Support technical training and succession planning
- Support audits of safe systems of work
- Plan and support high-voltage maintenance, remedial works, upgrades, and shutdowns
- Maintain operational areas, schematics, labelling, and safety information
