Job summary

The Site Reliability Engineer at Finning Canada will provide technical support and data analysis on mining equipment to enhance equipment management and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Professional registration or membership in technical societies
• Experience with CAT mining equipment
• Experience on CAT instruments: SIS2.0, Dealer Connect, TMIWEB, ET, VIMS
• Understand equipment design and engineering standards
• Knowledge of manufacturing methodologies
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work

Responsibilities

• Investigate and report on equipment failures
• Analyze components' performance
• Manage and track service letters and updates
• Provide technical support for improvement projects
• Identify and support root cause analysis on equipment failures
• Technical support for maintenance personnel
• Analyze and report equipment performance
• Prepare fleet reports on technical and operational indicators
• Support mining equipment condition monitoring
• Monitor and develop trend information on payload management
• Collect and report on component performance
• Manage multiple priorities to mitigate business risk
• Manage Caterpillar technical information
• Develop motivation and vision in leadership
• Interact with customer network and technical services team
• Collaborate effectively with peers across sites
• Provide data to support process improvement
• Support Caterpillar requests and product improvement initiatives
• Observe site and personal safety procedures
• Provide timely reporting to support business obligations
