Job summary

Shapes enterprise, cloud, and product architecture for scalable, AI-enabled software across SAP and non-SAP environments. The role defines reusable engineering patterns and provides hands-on guidance for cloud-native and SaaS systems, microservices, DevSecOps, and AI architectures involving Generative AI, AI Agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation. It also guides integrations and application modernization across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Azure or AWS, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience as an Enterprise, Cloud, Solution, or Software Architect.
  • Strong practical understanding of modern software architecture and cloud-native development.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
  • Experience with microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience with AI-enabled applications and architectures, including Generative AI, AI Agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
  • Familiarity with SAP architectures and integrations, ideally SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
  • Ability to put engineering standards and architecture guardrails into practice.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics to engineering teams and strategic stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and SAP BTP Kyma runtime is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve enterprise, cloud, and product architecture.
  • Design cloud-native and SaaS architectures.
  • Establish reusable engineering patterns for microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, Domain-Driven Design, testing, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, security, and observability.
  • Create architecture patterns and guardrails for Generative AI, AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and foundation model integration, including security, privacy, governance, monitoring, and cost control.
  • Design integration and target architectures across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and non-SAP platforms.
  • Modernize existing applications toward modular, cloud-native architectures.
  • Make technology decisions across Azure or AWS, SAP BTP, Kubernetes, and data and AI platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams in architecture reviews.
