Job summary

Leads architecture, security, implementation, maintenance, and support for complex web and database hosting across public cloud environments, serving more than 1,600 websites and applications. The role builds secure DevSecOps pipelines and infrastructure-as-code automation, manages containerized workloads and cloud platforms, and develops compliant hosting approaches for AI applications. It also coordinates operational support and partners with developers to improve application security and site reliability.

• Bachelor's degree.
• Eight years of related experience with computer systems and applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and networking, with a focus on high availability and security.
• Experience administering Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, and information security.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure deployments and cloud-native applications using infrastructure-as-code and GitOps technologies.
• Experience setting up development operations and pipelines for new or existing projects.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes orchestration, including Helm, kubectl, and Docker.
• Experience managing relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience hosting and managing backend website content management systems, such as WordPress, Drupal, or Laravel.
• Advanced proficiency with several relevant cloud, storage, database, DevOps, networking, or infrastructure technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture planning, security, implementation, maintenance, and support for public-cloud web and database hosting services.
• Design and integrate security practices using DevSecOps principles, processes, and tools.
• Build infrastructure-as-code automation in CI/CD pipelines to secure cloud infrastructure.
• Create automated DevSecOps pipelines that meet compliance requirements.
• Provide operational DevOps support.
• Deploy and improve DevSecOps solutions as developer needs, infrastructure, and security standards change.
• Research automation methods to improve development and release processes.
• Develop automated protections against cybersecurity threats to web systems and applications.
• Work with software engineers and developers to improve application security and site reliability.
• Investigate secure and compliant hosting solutions for AI-developed web applications.
