Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Linux and enthusiasm for learning
• Command of a modern programming language
• Exposure/interest in datastore technology
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms
• Practical background in Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management
• Relevant experience with Linux containerisation and orchestration
• Solid understanding of fundamental technologies
• Exposure to monitoring concepts and best practices
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Eagerness to ask questions and take initiative

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineers in supporting new features and services
• Build tools to monitor site stability and performance
• Help ensure the reliability and scalability of infrastructure while maintaining platform SLOs
• Troubleshoot site issues using industry-leading tools
• Own and operate critical datastores
• Automate processes with Python, Puppet, Git, Jenkins, and Terraform
• Develop custom tools when off-the-shelf solutions don’t work
• Participate in light on-call rotations
