Job summary
The DevSecOps Engineer embeds security, automation, and reliability throughout the software delivery lifecycle, supporting mission-critical capabilities and digital services in government and national security environments. The role builds secure CI/CD pipelines, maintains infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native systems, and improves monitoring, vulnerability management, and delivery practices using technologies such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting languages.

Qualifications
- Experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or a similar role.
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Capability with cloud technologies, preferably Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of secure software development, vulnerability management, application security testing, and security-by-design principles.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to automate operational and security processes using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, security, and business stakeholders.
- Australian citizenship and an NV-1 security clearance are required.
