Freelance Ingénieur DevOps / Cloud senior (AWS & on-premise)

Job summary

The senior DevOps/Cloud engineer will execute the migration of services from AWS to a containerized on-premise platform across two Equinix datacenters. The work includes transferring service data and history, coordinating tested cutovers and rollback procedures, and decommissioning cloud services without service regression. The engineer will deliver a GitOps and Infrastructure as Code environment with monitoring, operational runbooks, and team handover in a PCI DSS 4.1-, DORA-, and NIS2-regulated context.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of DevOps / Cloud experience, including 3 years operating AWS in production and 2 years of on-premise Kubernetes experience.
• Completed a cloud-to-on-premise migration involving production data.
• Proficiency with OpenTofu or Terraform, including importing existing resources; Ansible; RKE2; ArgoCD; Helm; and OpenBao or Vault.
• Experience working in an audited environment and producing evidence for auditors.
• Able to document in French and technical English and carefully review deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Migrate Passbolt to the on-premise platform without interrupting access to secrets.
• Migrate SonarQube, including its database, analysis history, and CI integrations.
• Migrate Nexus and redirect builds to the on-premise artifact repository.
• Deploy SeaweedFS as S3-compatible object storage and move existing S3 workloads to it.
• Assess and, where feasible, migrate SNS, shared AWS services, and GitLab with its history to GitHub.
• Deliver the target environment using GitOps and Infrastructure as Code.
• Rehearse cutover and rollback procedures before each migration window.
• Provide monitoring, operational runbooks, service handover sessions, and clean decommissioning.
