Job summary
The DevOps Engineer supports and evolves a multi-brand gaming platform, helping prepare it for containerization and cloud deployment while improving scalability and reliability. The role leads CI/CD improvements, including migration from Octopus to GitHub Actions, develops monitoring and observability with Prometheus and Grafana, and extends custom NGINX infrastructure. It also enables backend and frontend teams with deployment tooling, guidance, and support across AWS and Kubernetes environments.

Qualifications
- Experience with GitHub Actions and Octopus.
- Proficiency with Prometheus and Grafana, including dashboards, alerting, and CI/CD integration.
- Experience with custom NGINX setups and routing rules.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, including EC2, ALB, VPC, and EKS.
- Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform and modules.
- Experience setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters; AWS EKS and Rancher RKE experience is preferred.
- Ability to write automation and tooling scripts in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
- Proficiency with Git and version control practices.
- Experience supporting build and deployment processes for .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, and StencilJS applications.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Support backend- and frontend-focused development teams.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and guide developers in improving automation, reliability, and test coverage.
- Lead migration from Octopus to GitHub Actions.
- Design and evolve monitoring systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Integrate observability into CI/CD workflows and ensure tracing, logging, and metrics correlate across services.
- Support and extend custom infrastructure for increased traffic and complex routing.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on performance, scalability, and security.
- Provide development teams with tooling and guidance across environments.
