GenAI Platform Engineer - Madrid OR Amsterdam

Job summary

Build and scale shared platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to develop, deploy, and operate production LLM applications, agents, and MCP integrations. The role covers developer tooling, Kubernetes infrastructure, model access, orchestration, evaluation, observability, security, and runtime operations, with end-to-end project ownership and collaboration across engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams.

Qualifications

• At least four years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, data platform engineering, MLOps, backend engineering, ML engineering, or a similar field.
• Hands-on Linux system administration experience in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Platform engineering experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, and GitOps.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with backend services and APIs.
• Understanding of LLM application architectures, including tool calling, RAG, agent workflows, model gateways, and evaluation.
• Understanding of security, access control, data privacy, and governance for shared AI platforms.
• Experience building or operating production LLM applications, agents, or GenAI platforms.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Kibana.

Responsibilities

• Develop tooling and infrastructure for building, testing, deploying, and operating GenAI systems.
• Design and operate services for model access, tool integration, orchestration, evaluation, observability, and runtime infrastructure.
• Build scalable, reliable infrastructure on Kubernetes.
• Turn engineering teams' common requirements into reusable platform capabilities.
• Own projects from architecture and design through implementation, deployment, and operation.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering standards.
