FinXL is seeking a Google Cloud Engineer - Google Workspace (GW) to join our consulting team on a 12+ months contract in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Adelaide. Candidates with NV1 or NV2 are preferred. This role is open only to candidates with Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance! This role focuses on hands-on deployment and technical implementation within secure, air-gapped hyperscale environments. You will actively build and configure core Google Workspace productivity applications while integrating them seamlessly with broader cloud platforms, driving secure collaboration solutions for a critical federal project. Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, Google Cloud, NV1/NV2. Responsibilities Implement, configure, and maintain secure Google Workspace applications and productivity suites within complex cloud environments. Deploy scalable infrastructure, networking components, and access controls tailored to air-gapped hyperscale systems. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate core cloud services, databases, and collaboration tools smoothly. Conduct hands-on technical execution to resolve operational issues and optimize system performance. Execute security protocols and governance measures to protect data within strict federal guidelines. Participate in project rollout phases across national sites, including initial deployment activities. Support long-term technology roadmaps by delivering high-quality configuration and technical documentation. Key Skills & Experience Hands-on technical background as a Cloud Engineer, Systems Engineer, or DevOps Specialist. Extensive experience configuring Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Google Workspace applications. Proven understanding of secure, high-compliance cloud infrastructure and access management principles. Willingness to undertake initial travel to project location as required. Mandatory Requirement: Must be an Australian Citizen. Existing NV1 or NV2 security clearance is preferred; sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. Engagement Details 12+ months contract with a Government client.
