Job summary

The Google Cloud Platform Engineer role involves developing scalable cloud-native solutions and ensuring best practices in architecture, development, deployment, and security. Qualifications

  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • US citizenship required
  • Excellent customer service skills in a customer-facing position
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, and related standards
  • Experience with various cloud SaaS offerings
  • Administration experience with cloud-based applications
  • Experience administering Windows Server and related services
  • Cloud certifications in Google clouds

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions for Google environment
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and assess their potential impact
  • Drive adoption of DevOps practices and automation frameworks
  • Optimize application performance and reliability in cloud environments
  • Design secure cloud architectures implementing zero-trust principles
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Implement identity and access management solutions
  • Facilitate customer onboarding for cloud adoption
  • Assess legacy systems and design modernization strategies
  • Develop migration methodologies to minimize disruption
  • Manage and optimize cloud environments and SQL systems
  • Implement and maintain tools to support DevSecOps practices
  • Containerize applications for scalability and efficiency
  • Support design and development of Shared Services
  • Configure and troubleshoot cloud and physical systems
  • Establish and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Prepare technical documentation for development processes
  • Conduct security assessments and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Create reference architectures and technical standards
