Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer is tasked with the operation, maintenance, and security of the technology infrastructure that supports the organization. Key responsibilities include administering VMware vSphere, managing Veeam Backup & Replication, and overseeing network security, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards from the OCC and FFIEC. This role requires hands-on experience in virtualization, backup, and network administration within a small IT department.

• At least 5 years of experience administering Windows Server infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience as a generalist infrastructure engineer
• Production administration experience with VMware vSphere
• Working knowledge of current versions of Veeam Backup & Replication
• Experience with shared SAN administration
• Working knowledge of enterprise next-generation firewall administration
• Experience with cloud-managed switching and wireless administration
• Working knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Administer the Bank’s VMware vSphere environment
• Maintain vCenter Server, ESXi host builds, and VMware Tools currency
• Administer Veeam Backup & Replication
• Perform and document automated restore verification
• Administer the shared storage area network (SAN)
• Administer enterprise next-generation firewalls
• Administer on-premises Active Directory in a hybrid configuration
• Submit changes through the Bank’s change management process
• Provide tier-2 and tier-3 escalation for the Help Desk Associate
