Job summary

Build and lead the new engineering organization at WTS, focusing on enterprise architecture, technical platforms, and team development.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in software development, with relevant experience in a leadership engineering role.
• Experience in building and leading engineering teams and actively developing people through mentoring.
• Experience in scalable enterprise architectures and platforms in modern cloud and container environments like Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of security by design, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Understanding of AI and data engineering, as well as data security and compliance requirements.
• Fluent in German and English; experience in tax or consulting environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build the new engineering organization at WTS as part of the CTPO leadership team.
• Develop enterprise architecture and technical platform with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Define tech stack and engineering standards, especially in cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Ensure quality, delivery speed, and SLAs of the platform.
• Provide technical foundation (data, AI, infrastructure) as reusable platform services for product teams.
• Build AI and data engineering capabilities and ensure processing of sensitive tax data.
• Form a strong team from existing tech colleagues and new talents, develop through coaching and mentoring, and manage external development partners.
