Head of Infrastructure (m/w/d)

Job summary

LM IT is seeking a Head of Infrastructure to lead and develop their infrastructure division, focusing on innovation and business development. The role involves advising clients on Azure cloud solutions, designing and implementing scalable architectures, and managing the Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure, DevOps, and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Completed a degree in IT or with an IT focus, or completed IT training, or acquired knowledge through other means.
• Proven long-term practical experience as an Azure Consultant.
• Possess sound knowledge of Azure Core Services, as well as in networking, identity and access management, and security.
• Experience with DevOps methods and the automation of deployments and infrastructures.
• Proficient in using PowerShell and Azure CLI for administering and automating Azure environments.
• Relevant experience in leading projects and teams, and a good sense of team dynamics and motivation.
• Communicative, confident at decision-maker level, and work independently and customer-oriented.
• Fluent in German and very good English skills.

Responsibilities

• Assume technical and strategic responsibility for the Infrastructure division and continuously develop it, focusing on innovation and business development.
• Advise clients on the conception, migration, and optimization of cloud solutions based on Microsoft Azure, acting as a technical contact person and being responsible for planning and executing cloud migrations.
• Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure Azure architectures.
• Manage the operation, monitoring, and continuous optimization of Azure Services.
• Automate deployments and infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with security, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Impart technical knowledge in training and workshops to clients and ensure sustainable internal knowledge transfer.
• Lead and develop the Infrastructure Team, support in PreSales, and collaborate closely with other experts from various Microsoft areas.
