Head of Infrastructure & Security

Job summary

Deliverect is seeking a Head of Infrastructure/DevOps and Security to lead their global cloud reliability function. This role involves designing and executing strategies to streamline CI/CD pipelines, improve system resilience, and ensure secure environments for engineering teams in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment. The position is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ghent, London, or Madrid.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Security
• Proven experience in a B2B SaaS company during a rapid growth phase
• Demonstrable experience supporting an enterprise platform globally
• Deep, practical understanding of AWS/GCP ecosystems and Kubernetes orchestration
• Expert systems administrator with hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and modern observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus)
• Data-driven strategist who can devise high-level strategy and is comfortable building workflows or debugging system outages
• Ability to rally people around a clear vision and build pragmatic solutions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and security-centric concepts to a non-technical audience
• Strong 'consent' builder who can motivate people across departments to align on solutions

Responsibilities

• Execute a global infrastructure strategy aligned with company growth plans
• Partner with engineering leaders to drive platform predictability, operational excellence, and scalable cloud architecture
• Own and refine the end-to-end security posture of the application
• Establish data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance across all databases and microservices
• Lead automation strategy, partnering with Product and Engineering to design delivery pipelines that drive growth and feature velocity
• Measure system performance using clear KPIs and observability dashboards
• Partner with tech leaders to streamline deployment processes across the development lifecycle
• Drive incident response planning and Service Level Objective (SLO) quota setting with data-driven insights
• Manage operational challenges of a distributed global team and support local clusters with tailored scaling strategies while maintaining a centralized global structure
