Job summary
The HPC and IT Infrastructure Engineer manages the computing environment for scientific simulations, focusing on HPC and infrastructure engineering, as well as IT services and security operations. Key responsibilities include administering on-premises HPC clusters and AWS ParallelCluster environments, maintaining the scientific software stack, and providing user support through an internal ticketing system.

Qualifications
- Solid Linux systems administration experience
- Hands-on experience administering HPC clusters with Slurm
- Experience building or maintaining scientific software environments
- Experience with AWS
- Scripting and automation (Bash, Python)
- Experience managing endpoints and user accounts
- Working knowledge of information security practice
Responsibilities
- Administer the on-premises HPC cluster and AWS ParallelCluster environments
- Maintain the scientific software stack
- Support clusters dedicated to client projects
- Operate the office network, servers, storage and backups
- Administer internally hosted services and applications
- Provide first- and second-line user support
- Manage endpoint security, alert response and vulnerability remediation
- Automate recurring operational work
