Job summary

Develop and enhance PLC, HMI, and software solutions for thermal coating systems, including programming Siemens S7-1500 controllers and developing HMI applications with Java. Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams and adhere to cyber security and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, or Electrical Engineering
• Several years of experience in PLC development with Siemens S7-1500 and TIA Portal
• Experience with SIMIT, test automation, and virtual commissioning
• Solid knowledge in Java, object-oriented software development, and design patterns
• Experience with databases (SQL, Firebird, MongoDB)
• Knowledge of industrial communication systems (PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, OPC UA)
• Experience with Git, GitLab, CI/CD, and modern software development processes
• Knowledge in Industrial Cyber Security, Secure Development, DevSecOps, IEC 62443, and Cyber Resilience Act
• Structured and solution-oriented work style with strong system understanding
• Very good German and English skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance PLC, HMI, and software solutions for thermal coating systems
• Program Siemens S7-1500 controllers with TIA Portal
• Develop HMI applications with Java using modern software architectures and design patterns
• Build and utilize virtual test environments with Siemens SIMIT
• Implement test automation and software quality assurance concepts
• Integrate databases and industrial communication protocols
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes with GitLab
• Implement cyber security, IEC 62443, and CRA requirements in development projects
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary and international teams and support commissioning
