Information Technology - DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Build a DevOps capability across Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, networking, and internal applications supporting ERP and HRIS systems in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Establish CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, automate cloud operations and identity processes, and develop API integrations using a “wrap, don’t replace” approach. Promote secure, product-focused engineering practices, including iterative delivery, peer review, and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and networking across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code; Terraform or Bicep experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience developing applications and integrating APIs.
• Experience connecting HRIS platforms with Entra ID to automate joiner, mover, and leaver processes is preferred.
• Ability to champion modern engineering practices and support colleagues through changes in ways of working.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and agentic tooling.
• Attention to security, documentation, and change traceability, ideally in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal applications and API integrations around ERP and HRIS systems.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, monitoring, patching, and cost optimisation.
• Translate business requirements into software and deliver iterative improvements with product teams.
• Promote pull requests, peer reviews, blameless post-mortems, and lightweight governance.
• Identify opportunities for automation and AI-assisted development, with safeguards for regulated environments.
• Maintain code quality, security, documentation, and change traceability.
