Infrastructure Architect

Job summary

The Infrastructure Architect is a senior technical engineer responsible for managing server, identity, cloud, and network infrastructure in a Microsoft-centric environment. This role involves diagnosing complex issues, leading major incident responses, and mentoring team members while driving infrastructure transformation initiatives, including cloud migrations and identity modernization.

Qualifications

• 7–8+ years in systems/infrastructure engineering or senior systems administration
• Demonstrated experience independently leading infrastructure transformation projects
• Experience supporting a multi-site, distributed environment
• Expert-level Windows Server administration and deep hybrid identity expertise
• Strong Microsoft Azure engineering skills
• Experience with Microsoft Intune / modern endpoint management
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience
• Strong sense of ownership, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex infrastructure, identity, cloud, and network incidents
• Diagnose and resolve advanced issues across Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Azure, and the LAN/WAN and firewall layers
• Lead major-incident response for infrastructure-impacting outages
• Mentor and coach Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts
• Independently design, plan, and deliver infrastructure transformation initiatives
• Engineer and administer Microsoft Azure infrastructure
• Lead hybrid identity initiatives spanning on-premises Active Directory and Entra ID
• Modernize and standardize endpoint management through Microsoft Intune
• Lead the technical engineering workstream to integrate newly acquired practices
• Partner with IT leadership and the Corporate Development / M&A team on due-diligence and integration planning
