Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Job summary

oneZero is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, build, and scale automation across hybrid infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or related roles.
• Experience designing and operating Infrastructure as Code in hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and automation orchestration.
• Experience automating Windows/Linux server provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Experience with bare metal automation.
• Familiarity with tools like PowerShell and WinRM.
• Experience with VMware/vSphere.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Alibaba Cloud.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Python or PowerShell.
• Understanding of Git-based workflows.
• Knowledge of operational risk and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and Ansible roles.
• Support and automate cloud-native services.
• Build and improve provisioning workflows for virtualized and bare metal infrastructure.
• Automate bare metal server deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain automation for Windows server configuration.
• Support infrastructure provisioning workflows across VMware/vSphere.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and application teams.
• Improve reliability of infrastructure delivery.
• Develop controls to detect configuration drift.
• Troubleshoot automation workflow failures.
• Document automation patterns and operational runbooks.
• Identify manual processes suitable for automation.
