Job summary
The Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer will play a key role in delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing IT services across the organization. This hands-on technical role involves working across both cloud and on-premise environments, supporting critical infrastructure, strengthening security, and contributing to business-as-usual operations and major transformation projects. The engineer will collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, cyber security, and project delivery teams to implement and support modern technology solutions.

Qualifications
- Experience working with cloud and infrastructure technologies across on-premise and Azure environments
- Strong knowledge of security technologies including Zscaler, Guardicore, Defender, Sentinel, and Log Analytics
- Experience supporting Windows, Linux, and VMware environments
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing and routing
- Experience using ITSM and monitoring tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate technical concepts effectively
- Experience with cloud telephony systems
- Ability to pass a security clearance check
Responsibilities
- Implement, manage, and support secure cloud and on-premise infrastructure aligned with architectural standards and business requirements
- Configure and maintain security tools including Zscaler, Guardicore, Defender, Sentinel, InTune, and Log Analytics
- Support network and firewall technologies including Checkpoint, Fortigate, Meraki, and Azure firewalls
- Balance operational support responsibilities with infrastructure improvement and transformation projects
- Take ownership of technical issues through to resolution using ITSM tools and troubleshooting skills
- Work closely with architects, project managers, cyber security teams, and third-party partners to deliver high-quality solutions
- Maintain high levels of IT security, support risk management activities, and ensure adherence to technical standards and procedures
- Produce technical documentation, support testing activities, and contribute to installation and deployment planning
- Travel to UK sites as required and provide occasional out-of-hours support
