Job summary
Equinox Engineering is seeking an Infrastructure & DevOps Specialist to design, manage, and optimize systems across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and security for multi-office operations. This role involves taking ownership of critical functions, influencing technical direction, and scaling infrastructure to support continued growth in a global environment.
Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise, ownership mindset, and passion for building secure, scalable infrastructure in a global environment
- Hands-on infrastructure and DevOps professional who thrives in a high-ownership environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges
- 6+ years of experience in Infrastructure, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles
- Strong experience with Azure and/or AWS environments
- Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform/OpenTofu)
- Experience managing network security (Palo Alto, Cloudflare or similar)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices
- Strong scripting capabilities (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Experience designing and supporting disaster recovery solutions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Container Apps)
- Exposure to multi-site or global infrastructure environments
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and governance
- Relevant certifications (Azure, AWS, Palo Alto, etc.)
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and optimize systems underpinning multi-office operations
- Ensure performance, reliability, and security across on-premises and cloud environments

- Design and manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure across Azure and AWS environments
- Own infrastructure architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/OpenTofu) for repeatable, consistent deployments
- Provide guidance and technical direction on infrastructure best practices
- Manage network security using Palo Alto firewalls and Cloudflare services
- Maintain secure connectivity across distributed offices and remote work environments
- Oversee on-prem infrastructure including virtualization, storage, and backup systems
- Ensure data integrity and replication across international locations
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows
- Support containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Container Apps, ECS)
