Infrastructure Engineer 2 (Storage, Data Protection, and VMWare)

Job summary

Responsible for supporting, servicing, maintaining, and improving enterprise infrastructure technologies, focusing on storage, data protection, and virtual machine platforms.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience with infrastructure technologies.
• Three or more years in a production data center or enterprise operations environment.
• Experience with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with operational procedures and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production support for enterprise storage, backup, and virtual infrastructure platforms.
• Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve incidents, alerts, service interruptions, and performance issues.
• Execute approved changes in accordance with documented procedures and risk controls.
• Fulfill ServiceNow catalog requests and operational tasks.
• Perform system health checks, log review, backup validation, and capacity review.
• Support hardware-related activities and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, application owners, and business stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and automation.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates and documentation.
• Participate in a 24/7 operational support model.
